Is It Possible To Learn Hypnosis For Free?

October 16th, 2008 at 08:21pm Under General

You’ve maybe been wondering, is it really possible for you to learn how to hypnotize for free? Surely no-one would give out their knowledge on how you can hypnotize people at no charge, just for the asking?

The happy news is that yes, you can quite easily come across some free hypnotism lessons on how to hypnotize other people. At the very least, you’ll pick up the basics.

If you’re a beginner who wants to know how to hypnotize others, you’ll need to think about who you want to use hypnosis on?

Do you want to use self hypnosis? If that’s the case, your best option is to buy a already recorded hypnosis track that deals with the particular subject, fear, worry or whatever that is a priority for you at the moment.

Do you want to hypnotize other people? If that is your aim, your next decision is whether this will be a one-to-one session where you place your subject into a state of hypnosis and or if you’re aim is to hypnotize them in secret.

If you’re looking to become a hypnotherapist, the available online courses are a good starting place as they are readily available and a good way to find out whether or not hypnosis is something you really want to get more heavily involved with. there are several places you can get this information free or cheap online.

If your aim is to secretly hypnotize other people, again there are several good courses available online but these are not free as the people creating them know that you’ll get lots of amusement (and even control!) you will get out of them. Of course, there’s a good probability that they will offer some free information as well. If your screen suddenly displays an annoying pop-up, resist the temptation to click the red ‘X’ on sight. The email newsletter may just be a sales pitch in disguise or disclose some small chunks of information – you can always cancel if it doesn’t give you any new information.

Spirit verses the flesh

Practicality of Life in the Spirit

To most people living in the Spirit, or living according to the Spirit is merely an ideology or a theory; something rather nebulous, vague and far-fetched.

But is living in the Spirit realistic, and practical as living in the flesh?

Living in the Spirit is as realistic and practical as living in the flesh. It is at variance or at odds with the life in the flesh. The are fighting each other, pulling you apart to their opposite direction, leaving you in frustration.5:16-17).

The conflict between the life in the flesh [sin—every one doing what is right in his/her own eyes] which leads to death, and the life in the Spirit [righteousness– obedience to God’s laws], which leads to holiness and resulting in everlasting life is so real, and intense, caused the Apostle to lament saying, “I do not understand what I do. I do what I dislike, and fail to do what I want to do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me, that is, in my sinful nature [flesh]. There is the desire to do what is good, but it goes against my natural carnal nature. What I do is not really what I have in my heart to do, but the evil which I was accustomed of doing, this is what I keep on doing. It is sin that dwells in my sinful flesh, that causes me to do the things which I hate, it is no longer my desire to do them. I find this power at work, when I want to do good, evil is right there. In my renewed mind, my delight is to fulfill the law of righteousness, but there is another law at work in my flesh, fighting against the law of my mind, and holding me captive. How despicable!

who is going to pay the ransom and save me from this body of death? I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin” (Rom. 7:15-25).

Life is a choice we all have to make. A choice to either be a slave to righteousness, or a slave to sin [man’s independent human nature, everyone doing what seems right in his/her own eyes] .

We are instructed by the apostle Paul saying; “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?” (Rom. 6:16).

The life in the Spirit is so real and practical, the Apostle Paul had to admonish us by saying; “I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you once yielded your members to impurity, and to greater and greater iniquity, so now yield you members to righteousness for sanctification.6:19)

Jesus Christ delivered. Having been liberated from the power of sin, we now become subject to obedience unto righteousness.6:18Now since the life in the Spirit is as literal and practical as the life in the flesh, the question is, “How is this life sustained and nourished?”

We know that the life in the flesh is sustained by the breath of air. It is being sustained by water, food, exercise, rest and sleep.

How do we maintain the development and growth of the life in the Spirit?

The life in the Spirit is sustained by:-

Believe in Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. If you believe what the scriptures said concerning me, out of your inner being, will flow streams of living water.” By this He meant the Holy Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. 6:37-39).  Jesus also told Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and who ever lives and believes in me will never die. Is this true? (Jn.11:25-26).

The life in the Spirit is nourished by:-

(a) Exercising the Word of God.

Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words which I have spoken to you are spirit and life.6:63). Man should try and live by every word which comes out from the mouth of God, and not to depend solely on the physical sustenance. 4:4).

It is through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and by imitating him, is the life in the spirit renewed, and grow in stature.3:10).

Consequently, we are to flourish in grace and knowledge of our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Living by the word of God.

(b) By partaking of the living bread from heaven.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life, your father ate the manna in the wilderness and are dead. This is the bread which descended from heaven, so that one may eat of it and live forever. I shall give my flesh for the life of the world. This is the living bread which came down from heaven. if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live for ever.6:48-51).

How can Christ give us His flesh to eat?

Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For, truly my flesh is food, and my blood is drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever” (JN. 6:48-58).

On the night before the crucifixion, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it and said, “Take, eat this is my body.” And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He said, “Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matt. 26:26-28).

This is what nourishes the new man, and keeps him free from sin.

It is everyone's prerogative to decide for him/her self how often he/she wants to nourish the new man, and remain holy just as everyone has the prerogative to decide for themselves how often they want to nourish their physical life .

But take heed, everyone shall reap exactly what he/she sows. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30).

How To Overcome Your Fear of Thunderstorms

October 11th, 2008 at 07:59pm Under General

We’ve all experienced thunderstorms in our lives. Some people find the loud noises and flashes of light exhilarating – they even chase storms – but quite a lot of other people are disturbed and worried, even scared, of thunderstorms.

If you’re in the second group and have a phobia about thunderstorms, here are some simple, effective tips to help you to reduce or even eliminate your fear:

1. Learn to relax

OK, I agree, this won’t be uppermost on your mind when there’s a storm closing in and as thunder rolls around the sky. But since these storms don’t last forever, use the time between them to learn to relax. Oddly, it takes effort to relax properly (probably because our hectic lives don’t give us much time). But once you’ve practiced a bit, you’ll find it easier to relax “on command”. If that’s not an option at the moment, put on your favorite track, close the blinds and turn the headphones up to distract yourself from the weather outside.

2. Acknowledge your fear

Eeek! This probably sounds difficult to do. But our fear usually isn’t rational, which means if you face up to it, there’s a very high chance that your fear turns around and runs away. If your fear takes the form of a nagging voice in your head, don’t forget that it’s not a real voice – you’re creating it. So begin to play with your fear instead of being scared by it. Change the voice so it sounds like a cartoon mouse. Spray paint it like a teenage graffiti artist would. Anything to make fun of the fear you’re creating. Sounds daft? Just suspend your disbelief and give it a go!

3. Seek out help

This could be as simple as talking to a trusted friend – speaking out loud about our phobias quite often makes the fear recede of its own accord. Or download a specialist hypnosis track to quell your fear of thunderstorms. These are very effective and inexpensive as well. Check out a hypnosis for thunderstorms track here for instant download.

The Role of The Hypnotherapist

October 8th, 2008 at 06:44pm Under General

We need to look way back into history to find the origins of this ancient science. As a therapy, it has become very popular and often recommended by the mainstream medicine. Today, hypnotherapy practices are located in most major cities and many are to be found working with a range of health practitioners.

The intension of hypnotherapy is to essentially alter some part of our behavior. Many people suffering with panic attacks, excess weight, habitual smoking, phobias, etc. have found hypnotherapy to be an effective cure. The work of the therapist is performed when the subject is in a state of trance where communication is performed with the subconscious mind. In essence, the state of trance allow the therapist to go beyond the conscious mind and address the real problems of the subject.

The mechanism of inducing trance is not complex. To induce trance, techniques such as gazing at a static point on the wall or watching a pendulum swing in front of the eyes are probably the most widely known. Specific patterns of speech will be employed by the therapist to assist the person into a trance state. the use of ‘trance-inducing’ words and phrases, such as ’feel the relaxation’ and ‘allow yourself to become’ are employed to further deepen the trance. Having achieved the trance state, the therapist will then make carefully worded suggestions to the subject to promote the desired change. When the suggestions are complete, the subject is brought out of trance, often by the therapist counting then back out.

Whilst there are a vast range of variations of this process, the key components are the identical

When considering how many treatments are required, this will naturally be determined by what is being treated. For people who smoke as a habit or for those with phobias and fears, a single treatment may be all that is required. More deep-rooted problems will often require anywhere from three to five treatments for the process to be effective. The effects of the therapy can often be immediate, but for some the change is gradual as the person adjusts to their new way of being.

Deeply repressed problems, long forgotten in the subject’s subconscious are the cause of many problems treated by a hypnotherapist. When in a state of trance, these repressed issues can be much more easily dealt with than if a person was in a normal state of consciousness. Symptoms of trauma can simply disappear and immediate recovery be felt.

Hypnotherapists help people heal from the past and see a postive future ahead. The results can be outstanding and the value priceless.

Time Management

Time Management Gear

While science is at its most advanced state nowadays, there remains to be a lot of things to juggle for a typical friends-oriented man. For most family-oriented men, there is the burden of juggling work, friends, family and other factors involved in one’s social life.

You can read more on Time Management & Goal Setting

The answer is Productivity. Most successful persons are often asked about what their secret to success is. And more often than not, they have the same response, and that is Time Management & Goal Setting. However, although this is almost an expected response, many are still baffled at how Goal Setting really works.

Time Management is simply the proper allocation of time for certain important tasks. First, the important tasks have to be arranged in a certain way where it is clustered into sectors and listed according to urgency and importance. For example, the important parts of your life are career, your daughter, your home, your art, and your family. You have to know which one to drop first whenever you need to do something.

After that, you will need help from some Time Management Gear designed to aid you in the right process of prioritization AND remembering that order.

Quick-and-Easy pop ups

Goal Setting Tools & Time Management Techniques

There are a lot of women who need lots of reminder when it comes to taking care of home based businesses. Often, they are too medium sized that they are disregarded as unimportant. If you are one of them, buy some quick-and-easy Reminders. What’s good about technology is you can probably put an alarm just about everywhere! Cellular phones nowadays have built-in organizers, post-its are available in different variants, and even the good old fridge door magnets have come in a lot of forms.

What is important is that the frequency of the reminding is now being increased. This is good for Time Management & Goal Setting because it keeps you aware of the things which you have to do especially if they’re urgent.

The organizer + Watch Tandem

These are staples for just about every busybody from the college beadle to the corporate leader. The organizing device of your choice is something that holds your appointments and it’s also a tiny little space for some writing. People who are busy all the time usually have contact numbers of random men they meet, gifts for a not-so-relevant birthday party that he has to go to or some sudden brilliant ideas that come to mind. For these and more, you will need an organziing device of your choice. It has to be a little agenda, just enough to fit in a small handbag, and should be made of durable material. You must bring your organzing device of your choice with you every day, in case you need to list something down as a reminder.

And indeed, the perfect addition to an organzing device of your choice is a good working watch. Just because your watch didn’t work well You may have experienced running late for an appointment.  What’s worse is that the person you’re meeting wouldn’t even believe you. This blunder can easily be avoided. Just get a quality watch that does not even have to be that expensive. Having a good sense of time is practically the first step in Productivity.

The Perfect mindset

It’s pressuring to know that you have a lot of things in your hand and it seems like you can’t even do anything about it. Don’t tip over.

Moreover, keep a be on your toes kind of mindset as you maneuver your way into your busy life. Sure, there are times when you distance yourself from your organizing device of your choice. It is a painful reminder of the busy life they lead for some. It’s perfectly alright to feel some sence of urgency but take some time off once in a while. You must never neglect yourself in your list of priorities.

How To Reduce Your Fear of Dentists

October 6th, 2008 at 09:19pm Under Motivation

It’s quite normal to be afraid of dentists. Gee, even the dentist I visit admitted she doesn’t like to visit a dentist, so if she does dentistry for a living and is afraid…?

Not to mention the sharp pointed implements they poke around with. And the ever present sight of a drill.

So, how can you get over your fear of dentists?

1. Use a sympathetic dentist

By that, I don’t mean just choose a dentist because they do good work (fortunately most all of them do). I mean that you should choose who’s aware of your nervousness and who has successfully dealt with patients the same as you already. If necessary, check with your friends and people you work with. In the same way that certain doctors have a good bedside manner, it figures that certain dentists work better with nervous patients that other dentists do.

2. Interview your potential dentist

Don’t commit yourself to a dentist before you have actually talked with them. Tell them that you have a fear of dentists and find out what they can do to help you and reassure you when you visit for a check up or to have fillings, crowns, etc.

3. Take a friend or work colleague

Ask your dentist whether or not you are allowed to bring a friend when you have a dentists appointment. Someone to figuratively or literally hold your hand whilst you are visiting. If they won’t allow this then, unless they’re the only dentist in town, move on to the next dentist on your list.

4. Relax as much as possible

OK. While you’re laying back in that chair and you grip the chair’s arms so tight you can feel the frame inside, this likely isn’t easy. Especially the first few times you try it. But taking up a relaxation method – this may be meditating, listening to relaxing music, learning a breathing exercise, whatever. Next, when you are glued to the dentists chair, recall your relaxation and breathe in deeply. Rather than the shallow breaths that you’ve done previously.

5. Use hypnosis

Yes. This actually works. You can download a simple hypnosis track to help overcome your fear of dentists and listen to it in the privacy of your own home. Over a few days or weeks of listening to a fear of dentists hypnosis track, you’ll find them becoming less scary.

Speed Reading: Teach Yourself a New Way to Read

October 5th, 2008 at 10:07am Under General

No matter what your reading and comprehension abilities are, you can learn to read faster with a well designed speed reading program. It’s also possible to keep your comprehension levels where they are, or even improve them.

In a speed reading course participants are taught to scan through the material quickly. They learn to bypass useless information and search out the relevant points. The goal is to read complete sentences as a single unit rather than focusing on each word in order to pick up the gist of the reading material.

An example of particularly difficult reading material is a technical manual containing endless pages of detailed information. But with speed reading you can manage it more quickly and also remember the content more completely. This is critical, since if they can’t remember half of what they read, they may have to go back and read through it more than once.

When children first learn to read, they read a word and pronounce it out loud to be sure they recognize it. Then they move on to the next word. And as they get older, they continue to use this rather inefficient way of reading. With a speed reading program, however, your brain can learn to read faster and more efficiently.

Speed reading programs were first introduced in 1958 by Evelyn Woods in Australia. In the years that followed, speed reading has taken on ever more popularity, in particular the ability to absorb lots of information.

Speed reading programs are available in an assortment of different methods. These have all been formulated to teach people how to increase their reading speed. Some naysayers, however, charge that some of these programs increase reading speed at the expense of comprehension. Many participants in speed reading competitions can get through a thousand hours and more in an hour. But their comprehension rate is only around 50%.

Some claim that this is the problem with many of the speed reading programs. The success of these programs is measured entirely on speed rather than on the ability to understand and retain the meaning of the text. These are also quite important, in particular with regards to technical information.

When looking for a speed reading program to improve your reading speed, look for one that can improve comprehension and retention, along with speed. When you put these new skills into action, you’ll find it easier to get the information you need from any of your reading materials.

10 Ways to Begin Taking Control with Positive Thinking.

October 5th, 2008 at 10:07am Under General

10 Ways to Begin Taking Control with Positive Thinking.

At first glance, it would seem that positive thinking and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) have nothing to do with one another. But for many with ADD, having negative thoughts is not uncommon, due to all the frustrations and overall feelings of discouragement that are brought on by it. A negative outlook only magnifies the situation, making it all the more difficult to handle challenges and move forward.

Positive thinking will help people with ADD to better concentrate on their accomplishments and strengths, giving them more motivation and joy in life. It will help in better using your time to work on making progress, rather than feeling discouraged and helpless. You can use the following tips to help you begin to have a more positive outlook and change your thinking process, in a way to help improve your quality of life.

1. Take Good Care of Yourself

It’s much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For

Stresses and challenges don’t seem quite as bad when you are constantly reminding yourself of the things that are good in life. Taking just 60 seconds a day to stop and appreciate the good things will make a huge difference.

3. Look for the Proof Instead of Making Assumptions

A fear of not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to assume that we know what others are thinking, but our fears are usually not reality. If you have a fear that a friend or family member’s bad mood is due to something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, speak up and ask them. Otherwise you will spend a lot of wasted time worrying about it, so it is best to get the facts and not make an assumption based on a thought impression.

4. You Should Not Use Absolutes

Have you ever told a partner “You’re ALWAYS late” or complained to a friend “You NEVER call me”. Thinking and speaking absolutes in this way will only work to make the situation seem worse than it really is, and will cause you to believe something about others that very well may not be true.

5. Get Rid of ALL Negative Thoughts that cause Anxiety

Our thoughts determine the way we live and therefore you need to discern them and discipline yourself to overcome negative thinking. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach from it, recognize it for what it really is and don’t follow it.

6. Squash the “ANTs”

In his book “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” Dr. Daniel Amen talks about “ANTs” – Automatic Negative Thoughts.

ANTs are usually negative reactionary thoughts, like “They are talking about me behind my back” or “The boss is looking for me, it must be because I did something wrong”! Begin to recognize these ANTs for what they really are, and then stomp down on them!

7. Begin to show your family and friends positive physical contact with a hug, smile, pat on the back or welcoming handshake.

You don’t have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good hug. Showing positive physical contact with your family and friends and even your pets, is a great ’feel good’ interaction, one that we all need in life. One research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed them their checks. Her tips were noticeably higher from the ones she touched, then from the customers she did not touch!

8. Be Involved with Some Sort of Social Activity

Loneliness feeds on negative thinking and one way to combat it, is by increasing social activity in your life. Surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way.

9. Be Involved with Helping Other People or Volunteer in an Organization

Everyone feels good after helping. You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources. You may have heard it said, ’Give and it shall be given’, this is a true saying and the more positive energy you put in the world, the more you will get back.

10. Have a New Thought Pattern to Fight Against Depressing Thoughts.

A great way to stop thinking unconstructive thoughts is to interrupt the pattern by forcing yourself to begin thinking and doing something completely different. Recognize old thought patterns that may be hyper-focusing on something negative. That way of thinking is never productive, but only leads to stress and unnecessary anxiety. You can change what your thinking by doing something different, like going for a walk outdoors. Or, you could call a friend, turn on some music or look at a magazine.

Find sayings, scripture verses or quotes that will help motivate you to remain positive in your thinking, the following are some of my favorites: Oprah Winfrey – “Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” “Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less, say more; Love more, and all good things will be yours” – A Swedish Proverb

Weight Loss Hypnosis Program: Change Bad Habits Into Good Habits

October 5th, 2008 at 10:07am Under General

Today, more and more people are not exercising enough and have begun to eat poorly; leading to overweight frames and out of shape bodies. Once these bad habits get ingrained in you they become hard to break free from. However, many people have also tried out different weight loss hypnosis programs with varying degrees of success, and how well a weight loss hypnosis programs work for you depends on your own will power and your ability to make a conscious effort to succeed.

Tap The Subconscious Mind

An interesting fact that is well known to most people is that humans only use between ten and twelve percent of their brain power with the remaining eighty-eight to ninety percent being used by the mind – subconsciously. It is easy to figure out that in order to achieve things in life you will have to tap your subconscious a bit more. If you want to change things in life, you need to act subconsciously and this holds true even when using a weight loss hypnosis program.

It is believed that if you try out a weight loss hypnosis program you will get to use up all of the power of the mind – and it holds good even if you are not trying to lose weight – you can use your mind in this way to attain any kind of personal goal.

By allowing you to speak to your own subconscious mind and suggest that it stop doing and/or cancel unhelpful actions is the way weight loss hypnosis programs work. The brain will act in a way so that your negative actions begin to fade and disappear and these are then replaced by positive actions such as remembering to eat healthy foods and doing regular exercises, once you are able to suggest to your subconscious that certain actions are not desirable and should be desisted.

Another positive to trying weight loss hypnosis program is that you will be able to use that eighty-eight to ninety percent of your subconscious mind which otherwise would have been lying dormant and unused. Chances are very bright that you will be able to stay off overeating for good, once you see results from your weight loss hypnosis program, these will become permanent.

Weight loss through hypnosis is certainly a good solution to being overweight. You need to only ensure that you use only those weight loss hypnosis programs that have been created by legitimate and genuine hypnotherapists and especially those that have been recognized by the American Medical Association.

How well a weight loss hypnosis programs work for you depends on your own will power and your ability to make a conscious effort to succeed, as many people have also tried out different programs with varying degrees of success…View more articles at www.hypnosis.jsgenterprises.com.

Lose Weight Hypnosis: Visualize, Think Positively And Subliminal Messages

October 5th, 2008 at 10:07am Under General

If, having tried out various conventional ways of losing weight, you still find that you have not been able to achieve the desired results, why not consider lose weight hypnosis. Hypnosis is not really a science and it is also not an art and it is in fact, a subject that is being debated upon extensively by the scientific community who are trying to find out what it truly represents. To anyone that has tried out hypnosis; it can help you think up new ways of achieving your goals and it is also something that helps in achieving a very relaxed state of being.

Not Improbable

It is therefore not improbable for you to expect that losing weight through hypnosis is possible and in fact, according to the experts, there are four main ways by which you can achieve your goals. The first way by which you can lose weight through hypnosis is through visualization which means that before you attempt hypnosis to shed extra pounds, you need to be sure that you are actually capable of creating mental images in your mind. If you are able to imagine how you can look in the near future you will then be able to convince you that it is indeed possible to lose weight through hypnosis.

A second method by which you can lose weight through hypnosis is through subliminal messages. This is very simple to follow and you don’t need to expend much effort to achieve your goals. It however does require that you play a recorded self-hypnosis program at night prior to falling asleep. In your sub-conscious mind the subliminal messages will enter your brain and then get absorbed by your mind. Upon waking up you will find that the messages will have taken effect and it will then be possible to lose weight through hypnosis.

Because of being too stressed, it has also been noted that many people actually experience difficulties in losing weight. Here again, losing weight through hypnosis is possible; especially through self-hypnosis in which you can reduce your stress and concentrate instead on making various techniques to lose weight work for you.

Self-hypnosis can help you to combat the reasons why you are putting on weight, as it has been found that self hypnosis weight loss is actually a viable alternative solution to losing weight.

Finally, you can also lose weight through hypnosis by thinking positively about your main goals (which of course, are to lose weight), and because laws of attraction can work for you; if you are able to convince you that things are going according to your plans you will stand a better chance of becoming slimmer and trimmer. Instead of thinking negatively such as deciding not to eat anymore, you should think positively by saying to you that you will try to become slim or do more exercises in order to achieve a better body weight.

If, having tried out various conventional ways of losing weight, you still find that you have not been able to achieve the desired results, why not consider lose weight hypnosis…View more articles at www.hynosis.jsgenterprises.com.
